Happy Culture is proud to have mastered the wondrous art of making kombucha, creating brews which are as good to the taste buds as they are to the body. Our kombucha is handcrafted using authentic age-old fermentation methods, powered by our beautiful ‘happy cultures’, and perfected by modern science and technology.

MAKING SWEET TEA BLEND

We brew a giant pot of organic green tea and blend in a little raw brown sugar. Once cooled, the sweet tea mixture is added to the fermentation vessel along with the starter liquid (aka ‘ happy cultures’).

FERMENTATION MAGIC

The vessel is covered by a cheese cloth and the mixture is left to ferment in a peaceful environment for a period of +/3 weeks. During this time, the fermentation alchemy will transform the sweet tea in a living elixir, filled with probiotics, beneficial acids, vitamins and enzymes.

INFUSIONS + BUBBLE FERMENTATION

Once the fermentation is complete, the liquid is removed form the vessel and natural juices and extracts are added to create delicious, unique flavours. Natural bubbles are formed in a second, in bottle/can fermentation.

BLENDING BASE INGREDIENTS

Fruit juices, mineral water and water kefir cultures are blended together in a vessel.

FERMENTATION

The mixture is left to ferment together for a period of +/- 1 week, during which time fruit sugars will be consumed by cultures and transformed into beneficial acids.

BUBBLES

Bubbles will form as a by-product of the fermentation, resulting in a naturally bubbly, and super delicious fruity probiotic water.
