Hey there, I’m Manon, the proud mama of Happy Culture.
Today I want to talk about the gutβand what you can do to help yours thrive!
Your gut has been working with you, and for you, since your very first day, and will continue to until the very last. It plays a vital role in not only your ability to survive, but also to thrive !
When contemplating on that, it seems to make good sense that it is important to create a loving relationship with our gut. I believe that the more more awareness and connection we build with our digestive system, the more effortless and enjoyable caring for it is. It quickly becomes a beautiful, natural act of self love.
It is my wish that this blog will bring you empowering insight and inspiration to your gut health journey.
LET’S TALK ABOUT IT
Your gut is a highly intelligent system, continuously working to keep you alive and healthy, helping support everything from your digestion, to your mood, brain health and immune function.
If somethingβs off in our gut, even something small, it can affect every other system in our body, having a negative impact on our wellbeing.
A healthy gut is key to a healthy, happy life. Yet, many people suffer from gut health difficulties and are too embarrassed to ask questions.
MY JOURNEY
When embarking on the Happy Culture journey, gut health is something I quickly became very passionate about. On a mission to optimise my digestive health, I read many books and articles to educate myself on the topic, and made beautiful changes to my lifestyle.
And WOW, what an exciting and elevating journey it has been!
SOME OF THE POSITIVE TRANSFORMATIONS I HAVE EXPERIENCED:
GUT 101’S
To contemplate on the incredible journey the food we eat takes through our body is a beautiful way to remind ourselves of what a beautiful biological miracle our bodies truly are…
DID YOU KNOW?
- Known as the happy-neurotransmitter, seretonin contributes to feelings of wellbeing, and plays a crucial role in functions such as sleep, appetite and mood.
- Millions of nerves and neurons run between our gut and brain. Neurotransmitters and other chemicals produced in our gut also affect our brain. Gut health and brain health are therefore closely interconnected.
- The majority of our immune cells that help fight against disease are stored in the gut. Ensuring a healthy gut therefore helps strengthen immunity and prevent disease.
